The Birdhouse Fund may be able to increase your donation, at no further cost to you, using gift aid.

Individuals
If you personally make a cash donation to The Birdhouse Fund, then provided you pay sufficient tax in the tax year of the donation, and make a gift aid declaration, we are able to reclaim some of your tax from the taxman. How good is that!

For example, if you donate £100, we can reclaim another £28 on top of this. If you are a higher rate taxpayer, then on your tax return, you can also reclaim tax of £23 on this amount for yourself. So a donation that really costs you £77, benefits us by £128!

Companies
If your company makes a donation to The Birdhouse Fund, then provided the company makes sufficient profits in the year you make the donation, you can deduct this donation from your profits, and so save corporation tax. The tax savings vary but to keep it simple, a donation of £100, may really only cost the company about £80 after tax savings!
